Maura Krushinski, Ed.D.

Maura is a licensed psychologist and co-director of Psychological and Counseling Center, Inc., where she has provided clinical, training and consultative services since 1985. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is also certified as a school counselor and school psychologist. After receiving her B.A., M.S.Ed. and Ed.D. at Duquesne University in the Counselor Education and Supervision Program, Maura served as faculty, clinical facilitator and program director for the Counselor Education Program at Duquesne University from 1997 through 2012.
She is the Administrative Director and faculty member of the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh and provides psychological services for the West Penn Hospital Bariatric Surgery Department. In addition to her experience in the psychology and counseling profession, she is actively involved in the multicultural community of Pittsburgh. Maura is the founder and director of the Pittsburgh Irish Festival and serves on the board of the Bulgarian Macedonian National Cultural and Educational Center (BMNECC).

Dr. Krushinski currently serves as the Clinical Director for the Maximizing Adolescent Potentials Program  (MAPS) at the University of Pittsburgh, and is the MAPS liaison for the Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School.

Maura’s areas of expertise include ethics, supervision, multicultural issues and organizational/systems development.

Maura lives in Squirrel Hill with her husband, Dr. Tom Petrone. Their two children also reside in the Pittsburgh area.
