We are Now Accepting Applications for the Advanced Training Program

This program provides participants the time and opportunity to develop and practice the foundational skills they acquired in a Two Year Training in Gestalt Therapy at an advanced level.  It supports development from a practitioner of Gestalt theory and skills to becoming a more senior and more accomplished Gestalt therapist.  The advanced program offers the opportunity for theoretical inquiry, skill development and personal growth experience necessary to integrate Gestalt theory and methodology into each therapist’s personal and professional therapeutic style.

A NEW HOME FOR THE INSTITUTE

We are pleased to announce the opening of the new location of the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh!

The Louis Building 1824 Murray Avenue Suite 201

Located in the heart of Squirrel Hill, our new facility provides an education-training area as well as offices for Gestalt faculty and therapists who are Institute graduates.  All workshops and seminar series will be conducted in the Institute office.

Linnea McQuiston, M.Ed., LPC, NCC
Linnea McQuiston has worked in the mental health field for 25 years. She received her MED from Long Island University in 1973 and completed a certificate program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work as a Home and School Visitor . She is a 2004 graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh Two Year training Program for Professionals. During her professional career she has worked in educational systems providing crisis intervention and mental health services, as a drug and alcohol outpatient therapist and as a therapist in private practice. In 2004 she began Care for Caregivers to provide support, guidance, information and referral to both professional and lay caregivers.

Mimi Yablonsky, M.S.Ed., LPC, NCC
Mimi Yablonsky, M.S.Ed., NCC, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor working as a counselor, educator, supervisor, and trainer for individuals, couples, families, and groups in Allegheny County and the surrounding areas. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Vincent College in 1995; master’s degree in community counseling from Duquesne University in 1999; and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education and Supervision Program at Duquesne University. Mimi continues to enhance her clinical skills through trainings and actively seeking certifications; she has completed the primary and secondary certifications in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) at The Albert Ellis Institute in New York, NY and has completed her first year of Gestalt training at the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh. She has provided mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including: in-home services, foster care homes, consulting within schools, community mental health centers, and group homes.
